If you cut the rebate, people will drop out of private health cover – whether they earn over $86k or not. This will place more pressure on public hospitals. Health funds will be forced to raise their premiums and offer less rebate to private hospitals. Private hospitals will be forced to close as they become unviable. The whole cycle places the viability of private health care in jeopardy and cause the cost of public health care to soar. SOME SAVINGS JULIA!!!!
